Hole in t’Wall
Tucked away along a country lane, this is your classic take on a traditional pub. One that has proved popular with local and holidaymakers alike. Its garden may only be small, but you’ll certainly get a taste for local life.
The Ship Inn
During the summer the Ship Inn is great for live bands, along with a party atmosphere within the upstairs venue. However, with socialising currently limited to the outdoors, it also features one of the best beer gardens in Windermere. After all, located right on the Lake’s edge, the sound of the water is the perfect way to relax.
Lakeview Garden Bar
Another of our favourites is again as close to Lake Windermere as you can imagine. It also boasts one of the largest of our Windermere beer gardens. As such, while it’s likely to get busy it’s still possible to easily maintain social distancing. All the while, just a stone throw from your hot tub spa suite.
Kirkstone Pass Inn
Sitting upon the top of Kirkstone Pass, this pub garden is undoubtedly one of the best views within the area. It’s the highest pub in the Lake District and one of the highest in the whole of England, from which on a clear day you can see for miles.
The Crafty Baa
Meanwhile, if you fancy somewhere that’s not quite such a hike to reach, the Craft Baa offers all you could wish for. The award-winning pub has a nice outdoor area, as well as a fine selection of local ales and traditional pub grub.
